Chief Minister has received a call here on Tuesday from Thailand team led by Council General K.K.Rakchorian offering to construct Buddha temple in Amravati.
Chief Minister assured the team to allocate 10 acres of land for the construction of Buddha temple, if they come up with plans and designs of the temple.
Andhra Pradesh has around 200+ important sites dating back to the 3rd Century B.C, and leading ones are Dhanyakataka in Amravati, Nagarjunakonda, Thotlakonda, Bavikonda, Anupa and other Buddhist sites such as Jaggayyapeta, Bhattiprolu, Ghantasala, Guntupalli, Salilhundam, Adurru, and Dhulikatta and many others.
The team also briefed CM that efforts are being made to run Thai Airways passenger aircrafts from Andhra Pradesh. The Airways services would be launched from either Visakhapatnam or Vijayawada soon.
